Daniel Wayow

BA (Honours), MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Practice Director

As a therapist, I have a deep passion for truly seeing people. I believe that everyone has the capacity within themselves to become who they were born to be.

We all go through bumps along the way—and sometimes we get lost. We often need someone to walk alongside us, encourage us, sit with us in our grief, call us higher, or to just be present with us without judgment.

Areas of Practice

I help clients overcome life-barriers related to: Depression, addiction, spiritual direction, sexuality, trauma and PTSD, men’s issues, religious trauma, relationship issues, attachment styles, and life transitions.

Modalities

I work from a trauma-informed and culturally competent perspective, using a variety of frameworks, including: CBT, ERP, DBT, Narrative Therapy, SFT, and EFT. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your specific needs, goals, and experiences. I am client-centered and strength-based at the foundation of my treatment. I believe in the holistic treatment of the entire human being, considering aspects of the mind, body, soul, and spirit in treatment.

The Saxum Philosophy

Saxum is the Latin word for “rock” or “stone” - which is what forms the core belief of our practice at Saxum Counselling and Coaching. In a world where mental health care is expanding, we saw a gap: therapy that truly integrates faith, clinical excellence, and biblical truth.

We exist to help people rebuild their lives on a firm foundation—emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. With a Christ-centered, biblically grounded approach, we walk alongside clients through healing and growth, offering compassionate care that treats the whole person.

We believe resilience doesn’t just come from coping, but from anchoring your life in something unshakable. Our mission is to create a space for transformational therapy that empowers you to build your life through faith and clinical healing - one stone at a time.
